The Turin Aero Club Open Day
At the headquarters of the Aeroclub di Torino, located at the Collegno - Aeritalia Airport, the Turin Aero Club Open Day took place on May 23, 2026. The event, dedicated to the world of aviation and designed for the public, featured static displays of airplanes and helicopters, alongside an exciting airshow and free demonstration flights.
Among the various conferences, space was given to the officialization of the agreement between Politecnico di Torino and the Aero Club: the agreement, strongly supported by the Rector of the Politecnico, Prof. Corgnati, aims to consolidate and strengthen the bond between the university world and the aviation sector within the Piedmontese aerospace system.
Finally, among the numerous entities present on-site, the various Politecnico teams dedicated to flight showcased their creations to the public.

For the occasion, Team ZEFIRO officially presented the structure of the VESPA Mk1, an agricultural drone entirely designed and built by the students of the group. The carbon fiber structure was exhibited and explained to the most curious attendees, who asked numerous questions about the project and requested information about the educational path undertaken at Politecnico di Torino.
The team members were also able to observe the work of other student teams, as well as experience flight thanks to the demonstration sessions.
